Heart disease is the number one killer of women and men in the United States, and high blood cholesterol is one of the major risk factors for heart disease.
Managing one's cholesterol is not easy in today's fast-paced, stressful world. Eating well, sleeping well, exercising regularly and drinking plenty of water will help, but you can also flush out the excess by taking pink salmon fish oil. Here's how it works:
When there is too much cholesterol (a fat-like substance) in your blood, it builds up in the walls of your arteries. Over time, this buildup causes "hardening of the arteries" so that they become narrowed and blood flow to the heart is slowed down or blocked. The blood carries oxygen to the heart, and if enough blood and oxygen cannot reach your heart, you may suffer chest pain. If the blood supply to a portion of the heart is completely cut off by a blockage, the result is a heart attack.
High blood cholesterol itself does not cause symptoms, so many people are unaware that their cholesterol level is too high. It is important to find out what your cholesterol numbers are because lowering cholesterol levels that are too high lessens the risk for developing heart disease and reduces the chance of a heart attack or dying of heart disease, even if you already have it. Cholesterol lowering is important for everyone, young or old, in fact everyone aged 20 and above should have their cholesterol measured at least once every 5 years.
Now for the fish oil. The pink salmon fish lives very deep in the sea and is thus exposed to very little mercury. Its oil contains Omega 3, which is very good for your brain. It’s rich in polyunsaturated fats which are a key to cell membrane health. When taken with olive oil, which contains Omega 9, it is very effective for:
- lowering both blood viscosity, blood pressure and cholesterol in the blood;
- removing deposits of bad cholesterol in the arterial walls;
- reducing the level of triglycerides in the blood (fats that are strongly associated with obesity, heart attacks and strokes);
- reducing the risk of thrombosis;
- regulating the blood sugar level;
- increasing the body's production of enzyme Q-10 (a natural antibiotic);
- supporting the formation of myelin sheet (nerves' protective coating);
- strengthening the immune system.
To see just how powerful it is, take a polystyrene cup and half fill it with warm water. Add some pink salmon oil and olive oil to the water and watch in awe as the cup literally melts. This simulates the oil's effect on bad cholesterol deposits. Polystyrene is a very tough, non-biodegradable material which can only otherwise be broken down by fire, acid or petroleum.
